Egyptian Cooked Rice with Vegetables Recipe

Here is the recipe of cooking rice with vegetables to be served as the most delicious side dish over your dining table! It is an easy recipe for rice, which contains high nutritional values since it has several kings of vegetables.

Ingredients:

2 cups rice, washed
½ cup peas
1 carrot, cut into small pieces
1 green onion, finely minced
½ cup corn
4 cups water
½ tsp. salt
2 tbsp. vegetables oil

 

Preparation:

  1. Put the rice in a pot over heat with the cups of water. Add salt and leave over low heat for about 15 minutes until the rice be cooked.
  2. Heat the oil in a pot over heat then add the onions, corn, carrot and peas. Stir the ingredients for 10 minutes.
  3. Add the rice to the pot and stir the ingredients well for another five minutes.

 

Suggestions:

  1. You can add mushrooms and nuts to the recipe also.
  2. Serve this rice dish with chicken breasts with parmesan cheese or with the delicious potato kofta.
