Lebanese Rice with Vermicelli Recipe

Rice with vermicelli is a very simple, and delicious dish. It can be served as a side dish with recipes cooked with tomato sauce like beans, or okra. It can be served as a main dish besides yogurt, or green salad.

Ingredients:

500 g Egyptian rice
500 ml hot water
5 tbsp. vegetable oil
½ cup vermicelli
¾ tsp. salt

Preparation:

  1. In a pot over heat, heat the oil then add vermicelli, and stir until it becomes golden. Add the rice, and stir for 5 minutes over low heat.
  2. Add salt and stir well then add hot water. When it absorbs the water, cover it and leave to continue being cooked.
  3. Serve hot!
