Mihallabiya Recipe ( is very easy, cheap dessert and it doesn’t take too much time for preparing. Some people they called it: Blancmange Recipe, or Mohallabiah, or Mihallabiya, or Muhallebi, commonly made with milk, sugar, and Starch.
2 cups milk
40 g. corn starch
90 g. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. rose water
pinch of vanilla
Preparation and Cooking:
-Put 1 ½ cup of milk in a pot over heat. Add sugar and rose water then stir well.
-Melt the starch in the remaining ½ cup of milk.
-Add the mixture to the pot over heat with the pinch of vanilla.
-Stir the mixture over low heat to be thicken.
-Spread the pudding in glasses then keep it in the fridge for at least 4 to 6 hours.
Garnish the pudding with fruits, pistachio or any other kind of nuts that you prefer. You can add also cinnamon to the recipe.
