Bulgur Salad Recipe

Simple Arabic Bulgur Salad

How to Make Simple Arabic Bulgur Salad

 

Ingredients:

2 Cups fine bulgur

1 Cup boiling water

1 Tablespoon crushed garlic

2 Tablespoons olive oil

1 Lemon juice

1 Tablespoons of pomegranate paste

Salt and black pepper to taste

¼ Teaspoon of cumin

¼ Cup chopped green onions

¼ Cup chopped parsley

1 Tablespoon chopped fresh mint

2 Tomatoes cut into cubes

¼ Cup chopped cucumber

 

Method:

  • Place the bulgur in a large mixing bowl. Pour boiling water on it. The water should cover the bulgur by about ¼ inch. If one cup of water is not enough, add more water, then set aside for 20-30 minutes until the bulgur is soft.
  • We use a deep bowl to make the dressing and mix the olive oil, lemon juice, pomegranate paste and spices.
  • Add the bulgur to the dressing bowl and the vegetables, mix the ingredients well, and serve the salad cold.
