Indian Dessert Carrot Halwa Pudding Recipe

How to Make Carrot Halwa at Home?


3 Tablespoons of oil
1 Tablespoon of ghee
1 Kilo grated carrots
1 Kilo of full fat milk
Orange food color (Optional)
1 Cup of sugar
2 Tablespoons of cream
Half a cup of nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, pistachios, raisins)
A teaspoon of ground cardamom
A small pinch of salt


  • Put a pot on a medium heat, add the oil and ghee, and when it becomes hot, add the grated carrots and stir for 3-5 minutes.
  • Add the milk and cream to the carrots and stir well, then salt, sugar, food coloring and nuts, with continuous stirring.
  • Add the cardamom to the carrots and the milk, mix well, and when the milk is completely reduced, remove the sweet carrots from the heat, put them in the serving dishes, and decorate the dishes by sprinkling some nuts on top of the carrots and serving hot.
