How to make pickled carrots
One kilo of carrots, peeled and cut into thick circles
Two tablespoons of salt
Half a cup of lemon juice
One cup of white vinegar
A quarter cup of olive oil or vegetable oil
2 Hot green peppers
2 Red bell peppers
2 Tablespoons of crushed garlic
1 Tablespoon of black seed
1 Tablespoon of safflower
2 Cups lukewarm water
- Bring the electric mixer to mix the red bell peppers with the hot green pepper, add garlic, salt and lemon juice and mix well.
- Put the washed and chopped carrots in a deep bowl and add the mixture of pepper, garlic and lemon, then add the black seeds and safflower and stir well.
- Bring a tightly closed jar, put the carrots and the mixture in the jar, then add the vinegar and water, then add the oil over the mixture and the pickles, and close the jar well.
- Leave the pickles aside for a week and serve the pickled carrots next to the food.
