4 Steps to Make Pineapple Jam Recipe at Home

How to make pineapple jam recipe

Ingredients:
1 Large pineapple, peeled and chopped, or canned pineapple
4 Cups of sugar, or to taste
5 Cups of water
Quarter cup of fresh lemon juice
Yellow food color (to taste)

Method:

  1. Place the pineapple with water and lemon juice in a large deep saucepan over medium heat, then bring to a boil.
  2. Leave the mixture to boil for one hour or until the pineapple becomes soft.
  3. Add the sugar and food coloring with continuous stirring and leave the mixture to boil for 45 minutes or until the jam becomes thick.
  4. Leave the jam to cool down, then place the jam in clean, tightly closed jars and store in the refrigerator.

NB:
Each cup of chopped pineapple requires 1 cup of sugar.
