Shakshuka with Sausage Recipe

Egyptian Shakshuka with Sausage Recipe

How to make shakshuka with sausage



2 Tablespoons olive oil
½ Cup diced onion
½ Kilo sausage, sliced
½ Cup diced tomatoes
2 Tablespoons tomato sauce
½ Teaspoon salt
¼ Teaspoon black pepper
4 Eggs
1 Tablespoon chopped coriander
1 Tablespoon of pomegranate molasses
1 Tablespoon crushed garlic
1 Tablespoon chopped green pepper



  • Put 2 tablespoons of oil in a saucepan over a medium heat, then add the chopped onions and stir for 5 minutes.
  • Add the sausage to the onions and stir, then add garlic, chopped tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, hot green pepper, black pepper, pomegranate molasses and stir the ingredients from time to time for 15 minutes until the tomatoes are cooked.
  • Add 4 eggs to the sausage and put it in the oven for 10 minutes.
  • After that, we take the saucepan out of the oven, then decorate with chopped coriander leaves, so that the delicious Shakshuka dish is ready to be served.
