How to Make Concentrated Cherry Juice
The First Method:
Ingredients:
2 kilos of cherry
A kilo and a half of coarse sugar
one lemon juice
Tools:
Clay Cooking Pot
Cheesecloth
Method:
- Wash the cherry well.
- Bring a clay cooking pot and soak cherry with sugar for 12 hours.
- Stir from time to time, then strain the juice by using a clean cheesecloth, then add lemon juice to the cherry juice.
- Cook over medium heat to boil for 20 minutes.
- Leave the juice to cool and then put it in a clean bottle with a tight lid.
The Second Method:
Ingredients:
Kilo washed cherry
3 and a half cups of sugar
one lemon juice
Red food coloring (optional)
Method:
1- Put the cherry in a blender and mix well
2- Put the sugar in a saucepan over a medium heat, then add the cherry juice directly on it, stirring from time to time. And remove the foam which appears on the surface of the pot for 10 minutes.
3- Then add the red color and lemon juice with stirring for a few minutes
4- Leave the juice to cool, strain the juice by using a strainer, and put it in a bottle with a tight lid. Then put it in the fridge.
How to prepare the drink for serving:
3 tablespoons of juice per glass of water with ice cubes.
Note: The shelf life of this juice is from (3-5) months if kept it in the refrigerator, or freezer.
