Prep. Time: 35 minutes
1 ½ cup water
2 ½ cup sugar
1 teaspoon rose water
1 teaspoon orange rose water
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1-Melt sugar in water and put over medium heat without stirring.
2-Increase heat to boil and notice the white foam over the surface and remove it.
3-After 20 minutes from slow boiling, add lemon juice to maintain the syrup color after that and to prevent the sugar form creating a solid layer over the surface.
4-Leave the syrup boils slowly until it looks like honey.
5-Add rose water and orange rose water then leave over heat for some minutes then it is ready to be used. The rose water is added to overcome the bitter taste.
Note: you can maintain the syrup for 6 months by pouring in glassy jar that would be well closed.
