Ingredients:
2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
½ cup powder sugar
1 cup dates, cut into small cubes
1 cup hot water
½ cup vegetable oil
1 big apple, peeled and cut into cubes
Preparation:
1-Mix flour and baking powder in a bowl and set aside.
2-In another bowl, whisk the eggs with powder sugar in the cake blender on a maximum speed for two minutes.
3-in a third bowl, soak half the quantity of the dates with hot water for a minute then mash the dates with the manual electrical blender.
4-Add the mashed dates and the vegetable oil gradually to the eggs and sugar mixture with a continuous whisking till the mixture becomes coherent.
5-add the flour and baking powder mixture gradually to them and keep whisking with the blender for a minute or till it becomes coherent.
6-add the peeled apples and the rest of the dates and stir with a spoon.
7-oil a non-stick rectangular template with dimensions 25×10 cm with oil then adds the mixture and flat with a spoon.
8-Put the template in an oven at 180 degree Celsius for 35 to 45 minutes
9-Cut the cake into 15 similar pieces then it is ready to be served.
Advice:
It is recommended to use wheat flour because it is rich with fibers and vitamins.
