Family Vacation in Jordan – Travelling

Petra in Jordan

All What You Need to Know Before Travelling to Jordan

Jordan was a country I had always wanted to visit, that’s why I did some researches before the traveling and I know I’m going to attract some eyes on me to observe my trends (friends and family) so I had to be prepared.

As most travelers know, no matter how much research you do,

A lot of things would change at the moment you reach the land of your destination.

Here are some of the things I wish I’d known before visiting Jordan.

  1. How Safe It Is!

If you were worrying about Jordan location, It is terrifying to visit a country its neighbors are Syria, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia. But Jordan is a safe country.

Where many people from different religions and races live in, it’s a holy land and you can tell by how the Jordanian people work to protect their peaceful homeland. With the exception of border checkpoints, although I was in a foreign country very far away from my homeland but sometimes it felt like home, I also met Many travelers who were traveling alone exploring the country they express how happy and relax they are.

.

  1. How Welcoming The People Are!

A large highlight of my trip was the people and how generous are they, and as a part of their culture as they would literally give you the shirt off their back.

They would give you their clauses if you like it cause it’s a part of their culture. It happened with a friend of mine with one of the simple Jordanian people, the man gives my friend his t-shirt because he just said that he like it, As I said before It’s a part of their culture of hospitality. No matter how little people have the feeling that they can give it to the stranger before the friend, people there are equal.

And you can’t just go through the desert without getting welcome to have a cup of tea with the Bedouin people into their tent. I felt relax, happy, and more welcome in Jordan country than I have in any country in the world.

  1. That I Was Not Going to Lose Any Weight

from my first meal, I was so sure that I’m not going to lose any of my pounds, because Jordanian food is simple, and absolutely incredible.

you can easily notice that there is bread from different types at every single meal which you can dip it in hummus. and the falafel is so fluffy and delicious and it has a slightly different in each place so we tried them all.

you better save a space to try this traditional plate which called the Mansaf is a traditional Jordanian dish made of sheep cooked in a sauce of fermented dried yogurt, and served with rice and nuts., but I have to warn you that you’re going to be completely overstuffed, and your clothes may get much tighter on you.

Don’t forget to try a traditional lemon mint drink, or they called ” Lemonade”, which is as tasty as it is refreshing.

  1. That Tourism Isn’t Slow in Jordan

I discovered that I was completely wrong when I thought that there isn’t much tourism in the country especially after the Arab Spring uprising of 2011 even if it seemed a little bit slower.

I will advise you to visit it as soon as possible to see the historic sites and landmarks before it gets crowded. This really helps in the flourishing in this industry and with the help of the programs, and social enterprises it gives people the opportunity to see, and share the beauty of the culture.

  1. That Jordan Has So Much More to Offer Than Petra

I believe that whenever we said Jordan we all going to picture Petra as it’s the iconic Treasury it’s really awesome I guess that and every traveler who visited Jordan should visit the site.

but we must know that Jordan is much more than Petra we can visit the Wadi Rum Bedouin camp, Roman city which is just for an hour from Jerash it’s an ancient Roman city with ruins to rival. Visit the country’s natural side at Dana and Wadi Musa.

you can also relax in a resort of the famed Dead Sea, or you may have the chance for hiking, Canyoning, diving, ATV tours, cooking lessons.

Spend a wonderful day at Madaba, Mount Nebo.

after all Jordan is the best place to have an incredible vacation, you can collect/make a group of your friends/family to visit Jordan, and have a perfect cozy vacation.
