Utilize your time in creating beautiful home-made things from throw away plastic bottles. It is very easy and fun to make these toys. Firstly, have the following materials available to make the plastic bottle toy.
- Two plastic soft drinks bottles of 2.5 liter
- A pair of scissors.
- Brush and acrylic paints in colors of black, red, white and green, or any color you prefer.
- Paper and pencil
- Ribbon
- Colorful buttons and small ornamental items.
- Two bottles of glue mixtures.
Step 1: Take one 2.5 liter plastic bottle and make a cut on it with the cutter right below the bottom end of the brand name sticker.
Step 2: With the help of the pair of scissors cut the bottle into half from this mark.
Step 3: Mark the second bottle with the cutter and cut with the pair of scissors from near its bottom, so it will perfectly fit and act as a cap for the first cut bottle.
Step 4: Use the scissors to smooth and even out the edges of both cut bottles.
Step 5: Take the brush, paint the two parts of the plastic bottles white to act as base.
Step 6: Sketch a heart of appropriate size on the paper with the aid of the pencil.
Step 7: Cut out the sketch with the pair of scissors and draw the outline of the sketch on the main body with the pencil.
Step 8: Black paint the main body, leaving the inside of the outline as white which was the base color done in step 5.
Step 9: Take the pencil dip in black paint and make two dots to mark as eyes. With the same pencil dip in red paint and draw and color the mouth.
Step 10: Tie the ribbon around the main body make sure it’s below but near the mouth.
Step 11: Adorn the ribbon and top of the cap part with small the colorful buttons and small ornamental items with the glue mixture.
Step 12: With the pair of scissors, cut the end of the ribbon into strips of equal size length and width to give the plastic bottle toy a cute look. Fix the cap part on top of the main body and you have a lovely plastic toy to decorate.
