How to Make Strawberry Sauce for Cake
3 cups sliced strawberries
Quarter cup of lemon juice
A cup and a half of sugar
Two tablespoons of starch, dissolved in a cup of cold water
Quarter cup of cold water
- In a saucepan on a low heat, put the strawberries, water and sugar, then stir until the sugar dissolves completely and the mixture begins to boil.
- Remove the mixture from the heat, then put it in the electric blender and mix for two minutes until it becomes a thick liquid, then return it to the saucepan over a medium heat.
- Add the lemon juice and stir well, then add the dissolved starch with water to the mixture and continue to stir well.
- When the sauce begins to thicken, allow the sauce to cool and pour it into a clean, airtight jar and place in the refrigerator.
