
Egyptian Sobia Recipe
Ingredients:
4 cups of liquid milk.
7 tablespoons of sugar.
Two teaspoons of vanilla.
Two tablespoons of shredded coconut.
2 tablespoons of powdered milk (any type you prefer)
Method:
- Mix sugar, powdered milk, and vanilla.
- Bring the electric mixer and put the liquid milk and coconut.
- Add sugar, powdered milk, vanilla, and mix well.
- Put it in the refrigerator for at least two hours until it becomes cold.
- Pour into cups and served cold in Ramadan with breakfast.
Saudi Sobia Drink Recipe
Ingredients:
3 pieces of white bread.
3 pieces of brown bread.
3 tablespoons of oats.
4 dried dates
A teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
A teaspoon of ground cardamom.
A teaspoon of rose water.
4 cups of water.
sugar as desired.
Red food color or any color you prefer
Method:
- Cut the bread into small pieces and put them on a large plate.
- Add oats and dates, put half the amount of cinnamon and cardamom, then add water.
- Leave the ingredients to soak for at least a day in the refrigerator, stirring from time to time.
- Strain the ingredients using a piece of cheesecloth, and add the sugar along with the rest of the cinnamon, cardamom and food coloring.
- The ingredients are mixed in an electric mixer, and put in the refrigerator until cold.
- Pour into glasses, store the drink in the refrigerator, and serve cold during Ramadan for breakfast.
