DIY Crispy Pan Fried Fish Fillets Recipe

Fish is one of the main dishes around the world, especially in countries that overlook the coasts, seas and oceans. There are a lot of kinds of fish and a lot of different fish recipes such as the baked and the fried. Now, we will tackle how to prepare crispy fish fillets for your family and will let you know its tricks.

Ingredients: (for 5 persons)

  • 1 kilo fish fillets

Fish dressing ingredients:

  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1 squeezed lemon

Coating mix before frying:

  • 2 cups (250g) white flour
  • 2 1/2 (300g) tbsp starch
  • 1 tsp backing powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) warm water

Note: use the same cup while measuring the ingredients.

Steps:

  1. In a shallow dish, add the minced garlic, salt, cumin, black pepper, vinegar, and lemon juice on the fish fillets and mix them well. Sit it aside for half hour.
  2. Prepare the coating mix. Bring a bowl and combine flour, starch, backing powder, cumin, salt and black pepper. Mix them well.
  3. Divide this mixture into two bowls( coating mix). Add the warm water to one of them incrementally while stirring well till getting a liquid mixture. Now you have two mixtures; liquid and flour.
  4. Dip the fish in the liquid mixture first then in the flour mixture. Fry fish on each side in a hot frying oil over a medium heat.
  5. Once the fish becomes golden, remove it to paper towel to get rid of extra oil
  6. Now, It’s ready! Serve it with rice and salad

  • Let the fish fillets stand in the dressing for 30 minutes to have its wonderful taste.
  • Prepare the coating mixture following the mentioned steps strictly to have a crispy fish.
